So the hydroponic tomato-growing wasn't going to work. XD My paper towel kept drying out and I don't have plastic wrap to cover the top with. Besides, even if they did, I don't have soil to grow them in! Where can I get soil without having to pay for it?
I decided to try and make compost. I heard about it some time ago, and it should be easy, right? Just use things you don't need anymore..
Except all the compost bin projects were large scale. I live in an apartment, and I was thinking I could use one of the large gallon water bottles I have so many of.
I finally found a website for making a mini compost bin, though it's really directed towards children. Fair enough, it was very useful for me. XD I classify myself as a kid!
The water bottle I have is more than two liters, and since the example asked for that, I felt.. confident.
Except poking holes into my water bottle left me with a bunch of scratches on my hands. @_@; It looks like I tried to self-inflict pain on myself. XDD
Anyway, I raided my garbage can for "brown and green waste," so I think I'm good to go.. All I have to do now is wait for decomposition to do its thing, right? Hmm.
I realized that I'm such a stubborn, determined prat. If I want to garden in my apartment, I want to. I've been googling gardening advice for the past few days...
Oh, check it out. I have now added a tag for gardening. XD It's about time!
