Pokemon Black 2 Run
Sunday, July 7, 2013

It's been over a year since I last posted here, but I'll start again since my buddy Hosu recently took up blogging. I have a million other blogs and update whichever whenever!

This weekend, I started up Pokemon Black 2 from where I left off. I never beat the game. I think I got frustrated at how there were too many random trainer battles! In any case, nothing really funny happened that I could comic about, but this happened on the Plasma Frigate..

I really don't get Ferdin's problem that I'm going to have to side with Team Plasma on this one!

My cousin asked for it so I delivered. It spawned from a brief conversation with her.

Dude didn't even wig out like I thought he would. Eusine in Crystal sure did!

You can just call me the sandbag girl
Thursday, April 19, 2012

... a bag of sand keeps being brought out for me to sit on top of because I don't weigh down the tractor seat enough. The engine dies because it thinks the driver sat up/is not in the seat. I'M NOT THAT LIGHT IT MAKES NO SENSE. It's also very.. annoying to sit on top of such a bag.

Also I THOUGHT there was an abundance of girls in tractor driving class! After lab today these girls were talking, "omg I LOVE this class. I know why you love this class, but I LOVE this class."

"Why?" asked I.

"The TAs are HOT."

Yeah I guess I can see why 6 young, fit males aiding and teaching everyone on a personal level on how to use the tractor would be exciting.

Today was really.. I got really dirty. It was hot outside and I was sweating and I got grease on me trying to connect the PTO into the PTO shaft of the tractor. I couldn't even get it in. I couldn't do it correctly so the TA had to help me, which I was ashamed about. I like to think I have as much manpower..

Afterwards, I arrived at office hours for this one class late and I started firing questions. At the end two different people asked if I wanted to study with them. I SAID YEAH TO BOTH LMAOOO. They were like, "Are you majoring in this?"

"NOPE IT'S OUT OF MY SCOPE I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING."

"Really, you sound like you do"

"NOPE, NOT AT ALL."

Then I spent 2 hours at this other place playing board games with new people. I won a $10 Subway gift card from a game of Taboo. 8D 8D 8D

Free junk food galore, too. It's so bad. My lunchtime and dinner today has consisted of many chocolate chip cookies and various other sweets and junk food. I JUST STARTED PACKING IT ALL IN MY STOMACH BECAUSE IF IT'S NOT ALL EATEN THEY THROW IT AWAY AND I HATE WASTING FOOD SO I JUST EAT MORE THAN MY SHARE... Plus the cookies were amazing omg I ate one after the other after the other after the other.

I've pretty much been out on campus for about 11 hours! From 9 AM down to 8:30 PM!! I'm glad to finally be able to take a shower because I've been wallowing in my filth all day!

I was checking my grade for the Food, Folklore, and Health midterm awhile ago and as the gradebook was loading, I was saying over and over in my head, "Please A, please A. Please A. Please A." BAM! 108% A+. I don't know how it happened but I have not seen that in 4 years!! I'm hoping I can keep it up for the next two midterms. The lowest one gets dropped, so that means I can skip the last one if I do excellent on 3!

I'm thinking about skipping out on picnic day this Saturday. It's a big event on my campus, but I've heard lots of stories about drunkards being out as early as 8 AM. It's the day everyone gets wasted. There are some fun sounding events I sort of want to go to, but I'd rather really study.. I'm very concerned about doing well that I am willing to give up something I missed out on last year.

I'm a socializing beast.

Man, burgers are my favorite food but I don't want anymore. Sometimes I just don't have enough time between classes for a real meal time so I just buy like whatever burger $1 can get me. I just don't want to eat anymore for the time being, but it's still my favorite food. Just the thought of them is nice.

But yeah I got another when I hung out with my friend for a bit yesterday. He was buying some gyro and because he was going to eat, I didn't want him to feel all awkward by being the only one eating so I went and bought a burger. He said I should try the gyro but I said no thanks, it's too expensive! I'm not about to pay $6 to eat when I didn't want much.

Later that night I went to a transfer student pizza mixer! I went to one last year for the free pizza, and I did the same yesterday! I probably met like, 8-10 people over the course of 3 hours or so. I was hanging out at this table with 2 other girls and a guy, and some hours in, this guy comes over with a paper slip with a few survey questions and starts talking to the guy at our table. Everyone at my table already filled it out and turned it in (It's an entry for a raffle), so when I saw that I said, "Oh, we can sign it for you--"

"No. No. Girls are invisible to me right now."

Wow, uh. Way to approach people. He was talking to the guy at our table for a bit, and after he left, the guy just set the paper aside. I don't think he wanted to fill it out after that kind of treatment. Or maybe he didn't want more competition for the raffle.

I stayed until the end again. I didn't think I would hang around that long after the people I managed to get acquainted with left, but I saw a few girls I hung out with at the exact same event last year! One was helping out with the event, and another brought her housemate along with her. It was interesting to talk about school and all, because we were first year transfers last year. We were all uncertain about everything. I know for sure that this time I spoke with total confidence about what I planned to do. Last year I kept talking about how hopeless it was for me, with such a low GPA. The girl who brought her housemate was telling me how they became best friends within a year. I remembered her telling me the year before how they never spoke, despite living under the same roof!

When I got back at 9:30 PM, I just drew a bit then went to bed.

Miyasako from the JPN manzai duo, Ameagari Kesshitai! I actually don't know much about them, and I can easily say the same about other comedians, too. Anything I know comes from the shows I watch where they appear. I kind of like Miyasako quite a bit, though. He was funny in the dance-off vs. Gaki no Tsukai (which doesn't appear to be on Youtube anymore..) and I like him in Lincoln and Ameagari's show, Ame-talk. I was watching this episode of Lincoln two days ago and I just found it HILARIOUS when he had to say "I'm sorry that I'm arrogant despite being an idiot." I liked that he stammered!

That said, I like Hotohara a lot, too. So I can definitely say I like them both!

Rozan's Ujihara! He had a bad first impression for me when I saw him on DERO going up against Tackey&Tsubasa and Kanjani8's Subaru and Shingo. I thought he was obnoxious-- and didn't realize he was a comedian. I saw him again when I watched Ame-talk about celebrities who can't draw. It was hilarious, as I'm used to seeing Johnny's who can't draw, but it's pretty funny to see others who can't, either. But yeah, a comedian with a law degree and high IQ. I like that. And his sleepy looking eyes. I realize I should have given him more wrinkles, but I totally couldn't get it to work. ^^a

Todaaay I just went to class and office hours. That was like 5 hours of straight classes and not eating anything! It started to rain, too. I hope it lets up by Thursday because I don't want to have to drive the tractor in rain. I'd rather have the class canceled in that case!

I'll try to get some reading done before I retire, hopefully, early. My internship starts tomorrow. I'm really nervous but I hope I make it there on time and things turn out swell. I hope they like me and that I don't get hungry while on my shift!

I know it's been like a year since my last post here, but I post sporadically all over the place. XD I've been trying to utilize my Dreamwidth/Livejournal more!

How desperate am I?!
Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Today in Bio lab we were looking at plants.. and we could take them home! Except they looked like weeds, so I didn't really want them. I threw them out.

After throwing out two pots, I realized I could salvage the soil for my own tomato seeds I failed to grow hydroponically. I took some home and started putting dirt in random containers along with some tomato seeds. I accidentally hurt myself cutting a Powerade bottle in half, though.

And then after all that, I found a cool craft for making a planter out of an empty milk carton, so I followed that.

Only to realize I didn't have enough soil left to fill that up.

So I had to dump all the soil I separated into individual containers into that one milk carton.

... I hurt myself and got things dirty for nothing. Okay, for one milk carton of dirt.

Well, as least one is more convenient than many? It's ugly right now, but I should decorate it-- if anything grows.

I have a blue thumb I'm trying to turn green. u_u
Monday, October 4, 2010

So the hydroponic tomato-growing wasn't going to work. XD My paper towel kept drying out and I don't have plastic wrap to cover the top with. Besides, even if they did, I don't have soil to grow them in! Where can I get soil without having to pay for it?

I decided to try and make compost. I heard about it some time ago, and it should be easy, right? Just use things you don't need anymore..

Except all the compost bin projects were large scale. I live in an apartment, and I was thinking I could use one of the large gallon water bottles I have so many of.

I finally found a website for making a mini compost bin, though it's really directed towards children. Fair enough, it was very useful for me. XD I classify myself as a kid!

The water bottle I have is more than two liters, and since the example asked for that, I felt.. confident.

Except poking holes into my water bottle left me with a bunch of scratches on my hands. @_@; It looks like I tried to self-inflict pain on myself. XDD

Anyway, I raided my garbage can for "brown and green waste," so I think I'm good to go.. All I have to do now is wait for decomposition to do its thing, right? Hmm.

I realized that I'm such a stubborn, determined prat. If I want to garden in my apartment, I want to. I've been googling gardening advice for the past few days...

Oh, check it out. I have now added a tag for gardening. XD It's about time!

Toma-woes~
Tuesday, September 28, 2010

I cut up a tomato to have some with my hamburger, and then salvaged some seeds for planting. I cut the top off my 1 gallon water bottle and placed a damp paper towel around the sides. I spread the seeds across this paper towel.

After doing so, I decided to Google some questions I had about growing tomatoes, since I wasn't sure if this was going to work. I remember doing something like this back in AP Biology to grow sunflower seeds, but I didn't quite remember if this was going to work for tomatoes.. I might have forgotten a step or two by now!

I really hate it when Google gives me mixed answers. First, I read that tomato seeds needed to be dried and undergo scarification before they could be planted, but a comment in that video said that tomato seeds didn't need to have scarification done. So then I start looking up on drying tomato seeds, but now THIS person says that tomato seeds don't need to be dried to be planted. I'm so confused...

For now I'll just try my way and hope they grow..

Moved out/in!
Sunday, September 19, 2010

Welp, I'm settled in, now. XD My housemate went off to hang out with her friends. Me? I'm too tired to go.. I just want to hang around and do nothing and relax. The only thing that really bothers me is how dark my room is.. The only thing lighting up this room is this puny lamp.

From home to here, I couldn't help but think how much of a pain/annoyance it was to have to drive you kid for about two hours to let them go to university. And there was my sister who worked extra hard to finish her homework to come along. Thinking about all this, I'm overcome with love. I really, really appreciate what they've done for me.

I'm a bit too flighty for a more developed entry. I'm wondering what I should do now, ahah.
